Conveyancing when remortgaging
We will request the title deeds and an up to date redemption statement from your current mortgage lender.
You will be asked to provide us with a cheque to cover search fees or search insurance. Please note that most lenders will accept search insurance (as opposed to the full searches – saving time) which usually cost around £25.
We will receive a mortgage offer from you new mortgage lender and we will cheque and comply with all relevant conditions in the mortgage offer and arrange for you to sign the necessary paperwork, at your convenience.
On completion, we receive the finds from your new lender and discharge your current mortgage at which point you will receive a cheque for the balance due to you or transfer the money placed directly into your bank account.
We contact the Land Registry to have your title deeds amended. A copy of the amended Land Registry record is sent to you.
